Amory Hooper "Bud" Waite (1902-1985) was a polar explorer who participated in eleven expeditions to Antarctica and twelve expeditions to the Arctic regions from 1933 until 1965. He enlisted in the Navy in 1919, but did not begin his career as an explorer until he served as a radio operator on Admiral Richard E. Byrd's second Antarctic expedition.
